Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

General rules

Manuscripts should be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript as online submission after registration to the Basic and Clinical Sciences. Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx, or .rtf) files can be submitted. There is no page limit. If there is a problem while uploading the files of manuscript, please try to reduce their file size, especially in manuscripts including embedded figures. Submissions by anyone other than one of the authors will not be accepted. Submission can be made online at www.basicandclinicalsciences.com. If for some technical reason submission through the online submission system is not possible, the author can contact dralicetin@gmail.com for technical support.

Terms of Submission

Papers must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis) and are not currently under consideration by another journal. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other coauthors. It is also the authors' responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution. All enquiries concerning the publication of accepted papers should be addressed to cumhuriyettipderg@gmail.com.

Peer Review

All manuscripts are subject to peer review and are expected to meet standards of academic excellence. Submissions will be considered by an section editor and if not rejected right away by the editorial team it will be evaluated by peer-reviewers, whose identities will remain anonymous to the authors. The submitting author may be asked during the submission process to provide the names of up to 6 proposed reviewers accompanied with their email addresses.

Abstract

The manuscript should contain an abstract. The abstract should be self-contained and citation-free and should be approximately 300 words.

Introduction

This section should be succinct and include why this study is performed in research manuscripts.

Materials and Methods

This part should contain sufficient detail so that all procedures can be repeated. It can be divided into subsections if required.

Results and Discussion

This section may each be divided by subheadings.

Conclusions

This should clearly explain the main conclusions of the work highlighting its importance and relevance.

Conflicts of interest

Sample sentence if there is no conflict of interest: The authors stated that did not have conflict of interests.

Acknowledgements

References

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate. All references must be numbered consecutively and citations of references in text should be identified using numbers in square brackets (e.g., "as discussed by Smith [9]"; "as discussed elsewhere [9, 10]"). All references should be cited within the text; otherwise, these references will be automatically removed. All author names should be written with "et al." abbreviation if there are more than 6 authors.

In writing your paper, you are encouraged to review articles in the area you are addressing including those that have been previously published in the Basic and Clinical Sciences, and to reference them where you feel it is appropriate. This will enhance context, coherence, and continuity for our readers. After revision the references should be checked to see if there are new references available. Submit the manuscript (including tables and figures) as a styled Microsoft Word file and figures as embedded into the manuscript with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Preparation of Figures

Each figure can be integrated in the paper body and should be cited in a consecutive order. Figure widths can be 3 or 6 inches as 300 dpi. The labels of the figures should be clear and informative.

Preparation of Tables

Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading. Tables should be simple with simple borders and text written as left text.

Proofs

Corrected proofs must be returned to the Basic and Clinical Sciences within one week of receipt. The publisher will do everything possible to ensure prompt publication. It will therefore be appreciated if the manuscripts and figures conform from the outset to the style of the journal.

Open Access authors retain the copyrights of their papers, and all open access articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Ethical Guidelines

New methods and ethically relevant aspects must be described in detail, bearing in mind the following:

Human Experiments. All work must be conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki (1964). Papers describing experimental work on human subjects who carry a risk of harm must include:

A statement that the experiment was conducted with the understanding and the consent of the human subject.

A statement that the responsible Ethical Committee has approved the experiments.

Animal Experiments. Papers describing experiments on living animals should provide:

A full description of any anaesthetic and surgical procedure used.

A statement that the responsible Ethical Committee has approved the experiments.

Evidence that all possible steps were taken to avoid animal suffering at each stage of the experiment. Papers describing experiments on isolated tissues must indicate precisely how the donor tissues were obtained.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
